Hack on League of Legends!

So I was on my rune page today making a rune page for my jungle Cho'gath, when all of the sudden this message pops up...



It almost fooled me until I noticed 2 things...

1. Riot would NEVER give away free points.
2. It was a .tk url.

Had to take a screenshot... While I was uploading it another message pops up...



Had to laugh at that one... but feel bad for the people who lost their account!

Few minutes pass by and another one pops up...



So I had to go check out his summoner page... Couldn't believe my eyes, obviously it was hacked... BUT HOW!?

What do you think NoS stands for?

And people who clicked on the link deserves to get their shit fucked. It's a good lesson.

what I understood from the many many forum post I looked at, some RIOT guy got hacked and from that they could change summoner names and ratings and send out global pvp.net messages
pobelter, jiji and doubllift are the ones that got their names changed as far as I know (to "League of NoS" "Big fat NoS" and "DoubleNoS")

and then they where trying to keylog some lol accounts by that stupid link, and I agree with duck the ones that actually followed that kinda had it coming, lol
that's why the chat service was down for quite a while to avoid any more of those msg's to pop up

that NoS guy is just another of those lame kids that find it fun to mess with other people *shrug*

Yea I remember reading the messages that said who's names got changed. Anyone know if this has happened before? First time I've ever seen this

Why in the world of FUCK would any fucking riot employee save for a few that should be competent enough not to get their shit hacked, be able to change people's names?

Saintvicious was also one of the ppl to get hacked and his name changed. "League of NoS" also changed Saint's Elo from 2200 to 22. He was streaming 22Elo games last night... was very fun to watch a 20 stack Sword of Occult and Leviathan on a 25-0 Jungle Master Yi 1v5ing the enemy team.

Hes saying hes in ELO Heaven, he plays whatever he wants and just carries the game everytime

They managed to get some Rioter's pw and spammed the chat with announcements. People just blind clicked the link www.some*DONTCLICKHERE*thing.tk and they got infected with a RAT.

Scariest thing is that you must visit the site and accept the installing of a java program (well, who does accept those kind of things right away without thinking) to be infected. And actually a rioter, saintivicious, pobelter and doublelift fell for it.
